I am a researcher and practitioner exploring the prospects of artificial intelligence for art and entertainment, especially in the areas of social simulation, narrative, and natural language.

My work has been featured in The Guardian, tHE vERGEVICERolling Stone, and on BBC Radio, and has appeared at IndieCade, Slamdance, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

I recently defended my PhD thesis at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I was a member of the Expressive Intelligence Studio. My dissertation, once filed, will be the first in the new program in computational media at Uc Santa Cruz.

I now live in the Twin Cities, where I'm actively seeking full-time employment.
